We had a wonderful stay at Villa Tranquilla. The villa is very spacious, both indoors and outdoors. The bedrooms offer plenty of storage space and have comfortable beds – plus, every room comes with its own balcony. Outside, there’s an electric gate and ample space to park several cars. The lush green lawn, trees, and well-maintained garden create a beautiful setting. The pool is large and complemented by a convenient outdoor shower.

The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. One evening the outdoor grill ran out of propane, and within just 30 minutes of contacting them, it was fixed – truly world-class service! Midweek cleaning with fresh towels was also a great touch.

It truly felt like having our own private luxury resort, surrounded only by olive trees, yet still within walking distance of a bakery and just a 3-minute drive to two larger supermarkets.

We would highly recommend this place to everyone!

Villa tranquilla is amazing! I would love to go back and stay there again. The homes amenities are great! We honestly wished we had more time to stay and just enjoy the villa. Christina was so great welcoming us even though we had problems getting the rental car and were very late coming in she was kind and gracious. She was always quick to respond and clear with instructions and expectations for their lovely home. It’s so nice and private and everyone could have their own space. The location was great and close to super markets. they gave a great list of recommendations from super markets to beaches and places to go. Thank you so much for helping us create some wonderful memories!

Very nice contact with the landlords. Were there for 10 days. The pool was cleaned twice The house was vacuumed and mopped once. The landlords also arranged a taxi for us to take to the airport.

Ett fantastiskt hus som ligger väldigt fridfullt inte långt ifrån alla restauranger och havsbad. Huset är väldigt fräscht och modernt med allt vad man kan önska sig och vi har svårt att se hur man kan hitta ett bättre boende. Allt har överstigit våra förväntningar och servicen var exemplarisk. När gasolen råkade ta slut bytte dom ut flaskan till en ny bara inom några timmar. Vi ger vår varmaste rekommendationer till detta boende och vi kommer inte ens att fundera på att bo på någon annan plats nästa gång vi besöker Kreta. Värdparet var extremt proffsiga och har tänkt på allt innan vi anlände så incheckningen var väldigt smidig. Som ni förstår känner vi en enorm tacksamhet till värdparet som gjorde vår vecka helt magisk. Så ett hjärtligt tack till att vi fick hyra just Ert hus denna sommar.

We had a wonderful stay at Matthew and Cristina’s villa. Everything was as described and the villa is beautiful. The location was great for us. We didn’t have a car but the bus stop for the local reliable bus to Kolymbari and Chania was a 5 min walk and supermarket and tavernas and beach a 10-15 min walk also. Matthew and Cristina always responded within about 10 mins and provided lots of helpful information, even helping us find a pharmacy that was open on a Sunday when one of our children needed medication. My only negative is that you could do with a few more glasses to cater for the 10 people including wine glasses. All in all a fabulous stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to return if I was back in Crete.

Our stay at Villa Tranquilla was truly memorable. The 6 bed villa was absolutely stunning and very spacious and the pool was incredible. Our party consisted of 4 adults and an 11 month old baby, and we spent most of our time in and around the pool. The gardens were lovely and well kept, lemon and peach trees in full fruit around the grounds. Amenities and beach were about 15 mins walk from the villa, the villa is isolated which we enjoyed as it was so peaceful and quiet, sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. The views of the sea and mountains from all the balconies were incredible as well. Matthew and Kristina the owners were only a phone call away and so helpful, the microwave packed up, and after phoning Matthew he was round within the hour with a new one. The rooms were absolutely perfect, down to the bedding and towels having ‘Villa Tranquilla’ embroidered on all items. The whole villa was air conditioned which was lovely after being out in the hot sun for most of the day. A cot was provided for the baby, again this was a godsend as he could sleep off after being outside in the heat, If there was any kind of negative, no wine glasses available, other than that a fantastic place to stay! We would have no reservations about recommending anyone staying at this villa, if its available for your dates book it immediately.

Such a nice place to stay and relax. The villa is beautiful and had everything we could have asked for. Hosts were also very quick to respond to any queries we had. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again, hopefully we do soon!

Thank you so much for a beautiful stay for myself and my family. the villa was so peaceful and we felt relaxed at home. location was lovely, a little away from bigger towns but very easily accessible either by foot or the local bus (which was very helpful!) the local bakery and taverna were both very good and within a 10 minute walk. we will definitely consider a return visit. 😁

The whole villa is beautiful. Well positioned for a relaxing and peaceful stay. We stayed here as a family of 10 and it had everything we needed. The sea is a very short walk and it was really peaceful. We would come back and highly recommend these hosts to all. Attentive and welcoming. Amazing!

Amazing stay at Villa Tranquilla. The villa itself is stunning – very spacious and extremely well maintained inside with lots of outside areas to sit as well as a fantastic pool area. There is a beach and local tavernas, bakeries and shops within walking distance. A 5minute drive will take you to the local town centers with even more amenities and a bigger supermarket. Matthew and Christina were excellent hosts – reliable and punctual with communication throughout and welcomed us to the villa on our arrival. They recommended local restaurants, bakeries, taverna’s and beaches and those that we did frequent were worthy of their recommendation. We also required some medical assistance for one of the children and again Matthew and Christina were able to provide guidance on how best to proceed. We had a wonderful holiday and are very grateful to our hosts and their beautiful Villa – thanks guys.

Beautifully presented property in large grounds. Felt spacious and group of 10 able to mix together or find their own space. Pool area great for chilling and cooling off. Bedrooms all well sized upstairs with their own balcony. Villa is well away from neighboring properties giving sense of privacy and freedom. The owners are approachable and easy to contact. Property within walking distance of the beach. A car probably required to explore the beautiful island though bus service to Chania stops at the bottom of the lane

Spiral staircase could present problems to people with mobility issues but this is offset by bedroom and bathroom on ground floor

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour entre amis. La maison était splendide et les extérieurs magnifiques. Le linge (drap, serviettes ) mis à disposition était parfait . Nous avons fait tout nos repas sur la terrasse . Le coin piscine est magnifique ainsi que le salon sous la pergola. Peut être rajouter un ou deux bain de soleil . Le logement est très spacieux. Le ménage a été fait au milieu du séjour ( nous avions loué 1 semaine). Nous avons été très bien accueilli par Matthew et Christina. Nous ne manquerons pas de recommander cette maison, et peut être y reviendrons nous .

We stayed at Villa Tranquilla for a Retreat : “one week just for me” which included Meditation, Yoga & Self-development classes.

It was the perfect Place and we felt cosy and like home from the first moment.

Matthew and Christina gave us a very warm welcome and answered any of our questions immediately when needed.

Any of our clients has been deeply relaxed . We all would highly reccomend this wonderful piece of paradise and hopefully come back!

We stayed in May this year for a week with all our family to celebrate a special birthday. The villa was absolutely superb. Clean and beautifully decorated with a lovely garden and pool area. Nothing to fault. Matthew and his wife are excellent hosts and were on hand to answer any queries we had during our stay. He is quick to respond to messages. They even left us a few local goodies which were much appreciated. Thank you both. Highly recommend. We hope to return

Perfect place, with a great host. Exactly matches the pictures – very clean, everything you need for a week. Within the week it was even cleaned and fresh hand and pool towels provided. Matthew is very helpful and usually responds within a few minutes. We felt very comfortable. The beach is not far away, good bus connection to Chania. Some small restaurants nearby. You can also be louder because there are no direct neighbors nearby. All around a more than perfect accommodation for groups. We were ten people ages 20. Thanks for a great stay, Matthew – we would book again in a heartbeat!

Matthew’s place is the best. located in an olive Grove not far from the sea. The villa is as beautiful as the pictures, we were 3 adults and 6 kids and had plenty of room for everyone. Matthew was super accessible and eager to help. all and all great experience we would go there again with no hesitation.

Matthew is a perfect host. The house was lovely and in a perfect state and Matthew and his wife even gave us a room tour + a cute welcome basket. Will definitely book again when going to Crete!

The Villa is as good as it look in the photos and more. we stayed as a group of 3 adults, 3 teenagers and 2 children with enough private space for everyone and communal indoor and outdoor spaces to share. We could watch the kids play in the pool while we sat in the shaded patio or gather around either the indoor or outdoor dining table for a family meal.

A very nice, large, luxurious home for large companies 👌👌👌 A beautiful area around the house 🌴☀️ There were 7 adults and 4 teenagers there is enough space. The villa has everything we need 👌 The nearest neighbors are 100 meters away, so no one bothered us 😊, we rested for our pleasure 😎 The owner was always in touch 24/7 👍, and could provide everything you need, if anything 👍 Just recommend 👍👌👏

We had a lovely stay in Villa Tranquilla. The House was perfect, better than the photos , we were 2 Adults and 5 Kids ages 10 to 17. The pool is perfect, we had a hard time getting the kids out. Christina and Matthew welcomed us. Fantastic hosts. Everything one needs for the first day were in the house (soap, toilet paper Nespresso, shampoo, water, a bottle of wine etc.). Also there were plenty of towels, the beds are nice and comfortable. They had a cleaning service once and beds were changed. Nearby are a lot of good and not too expensive Restaurants, not so many tourists. We will definitely go there again. Thanking you for the perfect holiday Villa Tranquilla

Mathew the owner has been really helpful in the context of COVID, with support and information.

And Michalis the local contact was really present and support as well.
